Medicare Rebates
You may be eligible for Medicare rebates if you have a referral from your GP, psychiatrist, or paediatrician via:
Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP): 6–10 rebated sessions per calendar year
Eating Disorder Care Plan (EDCP): 10–40 rebated sessions over a 12 month period
The standard rebate for a session under Medicare is $145.25, with additional rebates up to $242.20 through the Extended Medicare Safety Net once thresholds are reached.
To access Medicare rebates, you need to attend a consultation with your GP/psychiatrist/paediatrician to create the relevant plan. Please bring your Care Plan and Medicare card to your first session if your doctor has not sent it to me.
Note: Couple therapy is not eligible for Medicare rebates.

Some private health funds offer rebates for clinical psychology services if you have “extras” cover. Please check with your provider.
Cancellation Policy
Once you and Dr Sarah-Jane have agreed to begin a course of therapy, a session time is set aside specifically for you, and is unavailabe to others whether or not you utilise it.
If you cancel, miss, or need to reschedule an appointment (including the first consultation), the session fee applies in full. As a courtesy Dr Sarah-Jane will endeavour to offer you a rescheduled time as a make up session free of charge, if you provide more than 48 hours notice. Offered make up sessions are not guaranteed to be be available at a time that suits you and will only be available in the week preceeding or following the missed session.
Frequent late changes or missed sessions can lead to adjustments in how payments are managed, and in some cases may mean that Dr Sarah-Jane is unable to continue offering you appointments.
